Fair Trade Sugar
The Kasinthula Cane Growers' Association (KCG) is one of Traidcraft's sugar suppliers. In February 2004, Traidcraft's Market Access Centre ran a Trading Fairly Workshop for 33 farmers to introduce them to fair trade, Traidcraft and how their premium committee could operate. Ingredients: Fair Trade Sugar (47%), Fair Trade Cocoa Butter (20%), Whole Milk Powder, Fair Trade Cocoa Mass (12.5%), Whey Powder (from Milk), Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin.
Chocolate contains cocoa solids 25% min., milk solids 14% min.
All ingredients that can be Fairtrade are Fairtrade and certified to international Fairtrade standards. Total 79.5%. Fairtrade provides a better deal for producers in developing countries.
